Passage of Manuel Padilla, Jr.
American Graffiti actor Manuel Padilla Jr. passed away on January 29th, 2008. Padilla played "Carlos," a member of the Pharoahs gang in the movie. He began as a child actor, playing Jai in the 1960s TV series Tarzan. Padilla also starred in The Great White Hope, Scarface, and episodes of Police Story and Happy Days. According to our friends at Cruisin' The Boulevard, Inc., "The only thing little about Manuel was his height! Gentle, sincere and warm, he had a great big heart of gold and when he was in your company, he had an aura about him that just made you feel like everything was right in the world!" We wish to extend our condolences to family, friends and colleagues of Manuel Padilla Jr.
